Our History
Trusted since the 1950s
1950 Mark met Nina, and the two married. 1957 Together they established M&N Insurance on 104 Wellington Street, Woolwich SE18 transacting all types of insurance, and financial services. 1960s Mark in Wellington Street office 1962 Remember We lead - Others Follow. Newspaper advert from December 1962 1967 The office moved to Frances Street, Woolwich. 1973 Mark and Nina’s son, Leonard, joins the business. 1983 The office moves to Camberwell Grove. 1987 M&N started its PMI division. 1990's Mark and Nina - 40 years after their adventure begun. 1991 Leonard becomes Managing Director in 1991. 2001 M&N expands by taking over the Laundrette and Dry-Cleaning Insurance Bureau. M&N moves the office to 248 Hendon Way. 2003 Leonard’s sons, Shmaya and Jerome join the business. 2007 M&N goes paperless and transitions to online file storage. 2009 The Private Medical Insurance division of M&N was expanded. 2011 Leonard’s son, Doniel joins the business. 2014 Merger of clients with N. G. Sonenfield Insurance Brokers began. 2019 Office expansion into 250 Hendon Way, doubling desk capacity. 2021 M&N installed a state-of-the-art coffee machine for the team and our guests! 2022 Full N.G. Sonenfield portfolio of clients was bought out. 2023 Strategic refocus on General Insurance and Private Medical Insurance.
